Things are certainly looking up for 21 year old Martha
Ankomah as she has won for herself a movie role for being
the best interpreter of a role given by A-list movie producer,
Lancelot Odua Imasuen. Lancelot Imasuen who has produced
notable movies like: Isakaba, Emotional Crack, Games men
play and a host of other movies could not help but offer
her a movie role in his up-coming movie after she made perfect,
a simple task of interpreting a role.
It all began when the housemates who had hardly gotten
over the surprise of having Joke Silva prepare dinner for
them the night before, were told that they would be entertaining
another guest. They quickly got themselves prepared for
the guest and it eventually turned out to be the award winning
movie producer.
On getting to the living room they found Lancelot sitting
on the sofa waiting for all of them to get settled for his
lecture. They individually introduced themselves to the
visitor and sat for his lengthy lecture.
Lancelot thought them the rudiments of acting which involves
breath control, charaterisation, script reading, effective
character representation and all that an upstart would need
to know about acting.
After that the housemates were involved in script reading
and character representation while they are grouped in four.
That done, Lancelot decided to test their acting skills
by giving them a simple task.
Adekunle Johnny was asked to sit alone as he featured as
the major character and all the female housemates were asked
to act –out a role with the title: ‘if u leave
me I will die’. They all did their best to interprete
the role and in the end Martha’s performance was adjudged
as the best. To some it did not come as a surprise as Martha
has consistently been putting up sterling performances in
the house of The Next Movie Star2007.
When the statement was announced by Lancelot, Martha could
not hide her joy as she leaped up and hugged him with all
excitement. All through the remaining part of the lecture
Martha was full of smiles as she could hardly believe that
she had just landed for herself a movie role in just one
week as a housemate.
